My Aunt Roza Fisch

Name of Exhibit: My Aunt Roza Fisch

Submitted by: Miriam (pseudonym)

Date of Origin: 1930s

Description: These two photographs feature my father’s youngest sister, Roza Fisch. The first was taken in 1936 in the Hungarian countryside (Tyukod). Roza is the one sitting behind the children, her three nieces from one of her sisters. My mother, Judith, is the woman on the right. My mother went to the countryside to recover from an illness and visit her sister-in-law, Roza. The second picture is of Roza sometime in the 1930s. Roza and her three nieces were all murdered in the Holocaust.

Voyage to Ottawa: These photos were a part of my father’s collection which I inherited after he died.
