The origin of the object is a story that was told by my parents, survivors from Lodz Poland, about how they reconnected soon after the war ended.
The guitar was hand made by Arnold Sprecher when he was detained at the Sherbrooke internment camp.
The book was published in New York in 1939. The stories in the book may go back to East European shtetl life.
