Phase I

The Phase I collection of the Holocaust Virtual Museum features 48 artifacts, carefully curated into 9 categories. Each artifact tells a deeply personal story, reflecting the experiences of Holocaust survivors and their families from the Ottawa area.

These objects serve as powerful connections to the past—some originating from before World War II, others from the Holocaust period itself, and some from the post-war years. Together, they illustrate the resilience and survival of those who endured unimaginable hardships while honoring the memory of those who were lost.

By exploring this collection, visitors can gain a deeper understanding of the Holocaust and its lasting impact on individuals, families, and communities. Each item preserves a unique narrative, ensuring that these stories continue to be remembered and shared for generations to come.

Phase I marks just the beginning. The Holocaust Virtual Museum continues to accept new artifact submissions, with Phase II set to expand this important collection.
