Description: My grandparents, my parents, and my uncles and aunts lived in Sighet when the events described in this slide occurred. They were subjected to the horrors described in this slide.
Voyage to Ottawa: Received from a friend.
Etti is my aunt on my mother’s side. My mother and her three sisters were deported with their parents to Auschwitz in May 1944. My aunt had a better command of the English language and decided to let my son know of their ordeal of that time.
