Origin of the object: Slide taken from a presentation about the Holocaust in 2006.
Description: My grandparents, my parents, and my uncles and aunts lived in Sighet when the events described in this slide occurred. They were subjected to the horrors described in the side on the left.
Voyage to Ottawa: I received it from a friend.
Etti is my aunt on my mother’s side. My mother and her three sisters were deported with their parents to Auschwitz in May 1944. My aunt had a better command of the English language and decided to let my son know of their ordeal of that time.
